“How are you?
“I’m fine, I’m sure.”
“Do you even care for my well-being?” I think to myself…
My fists against the wall…
My teeth shine,
But can’t you see beyond the white?
Can you not see my quickly dying heart?
My broken, fragile soul?
Do you care enough to ask “are you sure?”
Why do you believe my every word?
Not everything is as it seems you gullible soul…
I wear a mask, nothing more
To hide the reality of my torment because of un-forgiveness
Instead of relying on Christ, I sometimes turn to loving people half-heartedly...
This only takes a huge bite out of me the more, leaving me momentarily empty.
If I were true to myself,
I tell you this truly,
People would run away from me,
So to keep the serenity, I fake a smile…
