My Book

Contributed by JacobJowers on Thursday, 27th March 2014 @ 08:02:14 PM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

A tale of jealousy
A book of blinding light
Another day of therapy
Closing the cover with winding night.

Love to be had
Death to be told
After it all
I'll always be cold.

The sun rises
My head held high
My face looks down
Forever to sigh.

The map shows not where I stand
For only a true man
Can understand my fears
Even after all my tears.

Look back at the ones I lost
I cry these tears for those in the grave
The things I toss
Are for all the depraved.

My book rips many pages
Never understanding why
Placing me with the sages
But all I can do is sigh.

I do not want fame
I want back the family
Of which others call lame
But they all say my family is plain.

My family is truly a sight to behold
An odd place I call home
The broken ones of which society
Has left to grow old.

And now another day ends
I can never seem to recreate
The feeling that constantly sends
The misery I await.
