I miss the way we were

Contributed by twitterbird on Wednesday, 26th March 2014 @ 12:54:18 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I’ve got to give you up.
But your beautiful eyes stop me in my tracks
I need to move forward, not looking back
But how can I move without you by my side?

And the words that I can’t say are,
That I love you
And I need you
And I want you to know

That it doesn’t matter who you are
Doesn’t matter what you do
All I care about is you and me and the way things were,
before everything changed for the worse.

And I miss the way we were.

I miss the way we talked,
And I miss the way you melted my heart when you looked at me,
I don’t know who to be without you around.

And I miss the way we were.

I find myself agreeing with Apollonia.

Been there, done that, a couple of times. :( Makes me wonder why the other person can't see us like we see them.

Makes for great poetry though, doesn't it?

Tim

I love this poem!! Sometimes missing people really hurts but we learn what we really want from people when in the situations!! Keep up the poetry!!
