Lay here and dream away

Lay here
Hate life
Hate myself
Run away
Go back to the past
I often think about old days
At the baker in the morning
People would come and go
But not like those today
They would say friendly
Hello
And talk about their life
Husband or wife
It would be
In my imagination
A wonderful place
I could go to the baker
Work
While I happily gave the usually costumers
Their bread, cakes or milk
If not the milk boy already had delivered it
When I got off work
I could go to the local café with my mates
We would talk about the weekend
Were we would go to a concert in town
After that we could go driving
One of our guy friends would have a cool car
One of those old cars they had back then
I’ve always loved those cars
Me and my friends would go shopping
Buy fine dresses at the centre
Where we would get a coke to drink
Run down the streets because we should hurry home
Our fathers would be upset
And our mothers would smile inside
‘Cause they remembered being young girls
I could go to the school next town
Find a click to call my own
We would laugh and be friends with the cool kids
I would talk to the nerdy ones too
Ass I dream myself away
To a place with 50th dresses
I can only believe
That someday I’ll feel that way
In my imagination I can fly away
Back in time and see the horse race
With big hats and shiny little shoes…

Can you imagine this as a painting? Because you have drawn a work of art in your story, described the color, comradary, movement, so clearly. It is to me a vision more than a story.
A heartfelt moment you painted for us in rich hues and thick crackling oils. Bravo.
