It’s a bad day
We thought we had it all
But we’re just losing our self-control
I can’t tell you good from bad
Or sad from glad
‘Cause when are we feeling high?
The day after we die?
I don’t know what to say
Or how to act in this place
We’re all so sad
But do we like it this way
Does it feel good?
Does it hurt when we’re happy?
Can I come back to this mess
With a touch of happiness?
Or should I run away
To a land so far away?
Aren’t doing the good thing
Aren’t doing the right thing
So it actually doesn’t matter what we do
It’ll all end up in a mess
‘Cause if we got it
We can lose it
If we doesn’t have it
We want it
If you lost it
You can’t get it back
That’s why we hope for heaven
That’s why we live as we do
Drinking and smoking
But the memories stay
And you can’t escape
The truth of misery is over us
I think we like it this way
The feeling of broken hearted
The feeling of lost
The feeling of fear for us self
We like this misery
It’s in our hearts
We feel some kind of freedom
But do you like it this way
Or shall we run away?

“Heading on a one way track”
“Runaway train”
“Never coming back”
I like the sound of the steps
The sound of the flying horses over the sand
See the cowboys riding away
‘Cause they can escape the truth
Just not for ever…
