When days are dark friends are few.
That's when I'm most grateful for you.
In despair I look around.
Not a single soul to be found.
All those whom in the past grabbed my hand.
Yes now they have fled far into the land.
Then a faint sound I hear.
You hasten to my aid like a musketeer.
My one and only true friend.
On you I can always depend.
Life deals me a bad hand.
Yet by me you stand.
You require no reward.
Gallantly you draw your sword.
Into the darkness we ride.
Beware worries there is no place to hide.
And at the end of the day.
I know by me you will stay.
My one and only true friend.
Thank you for on you I can always depend.

| Hi there, Russell. Well done, my friend. I've come to the realization that friends are so very rare (at least in my life). Like yourself, I have a friend in my wife, and truly, I believe she is my ONLY friend. There are a great many acquaintances, and they exist in varying degrees of closeness, but a friend is, well, you said it...no need for me to reinvent the wheel. You seem like a super cool guy- your wife (future? or knotted now?) is a lucky woman. Keep at it. I dig your stuff. |
