In the End

Contributed by The_Phantom on Wednesday, 19th March 2014 @ 09:51:56 PM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

Upon my mind, thoughts fill my head,
Within my memories I've always said,
The tears that fall are accounted for,
My mind is wounded by memory's sword,

Upon my heart, I feel all pain,
Within every beat, hides the blame,
The tears it's wept could fill an ocean,
My heart has grown weary blocking out emotion,

Upon my soul, I bear the scars,
Within this cage it rattles the bars,
The tears it's cried have turned to stone,
My soul has grown weak and become cold,

Upon my flesh, I fake a smile,
Within that lie, I live in denial,
The tears that fall continue to cut deep,
My flesh will decay as my body sleeps.

Forever Faithful
The Phantom

I doubt I can feel exactly what you are going through but in my own memories I can feel the pain and sadness and the putting on a fake smile.

My cousin has a saying about fake smiles and it goes like this: "I am happiest when I am depressed."

A very well expressed poem. I wish you didn't have to be going through this.

Take care,

Tim
