hit and miss

Topic: drugabuse

hit and miss, it's been a while
but it's no surprise...

it was the final "This Is It."

didn't get the intended result, but...
I Laughed.

I Laughed at how I think myself better
than the self that I'm not.

I Laughed at the way I hurt myself and then waited...
then I smiled as I entered a Big, Empty Space.

how could it be any other way?
even if I never die, as I suspect I never will, it will ALWAYS be the Same.

the worst decision we'll ever love.
the best intentions.
the Pusher's Shove.

the second chance stolen,
last seen dressed as a Shine
with glowing white fire where once was its eyes.

the back of your mind
that controls everything...
even where the back of the mind is labeled as being.

the endless Make-It-Stop,
the spine that we sold
then used all the money to Waste all the Gold.

the imagination we waste on what to name our own Curse,
the understanding that each of us has had it the Worst.

the Ending you hope to see all the way through,
the Beginning of who you hope is the Real You.

I think you say a lot to yourself as well as to others with this.
Its quite good, absolute truth, and it sounds like
it flows yet sucks. Don't ***** up it speaks to thy self. Don't not say you ***** up.
You're a damn good poet. God bless you, you son of a *****... do not ***** up my friend.
peace!

Here's hoping you are still doing well Joshua.

Keep coming back to this piece, there is great hope in those final two lines you wrote. Thanks for sharing. All the best.
