Yesterday it seemed like Spring,
for just a little while.
Today the sky all clouded up
Heavens began to cry.
The rain has not been my friend
for the past little while.
Days all dark and cloudy
cold East winds howl.
Adding to my lonely sigh
for just a little while.
I used to rejoice the rain
and stormy skies
and the energy in its darkness.
Today the window is open,
rain drops hitting the window screen.
Droplets dancing across the glass
blurring part of my vision.
The birds all out at the feeder,
wind tosses the wind chimes here and there.
The Crows are singing brightly
they are out in the rain and do not care.
Today its a bit different,
I almost am tucked in with the gray
but not in a winter blue cold
rather a welcoming joyful array.
The rains are nourishing a frozen ground.
Droplets dancing on the flowers.
Spring is just a skip away
So rain fall hard I welcome you.

The welcome rain brings that which was sleeping through the long winter nights slowly awake.
It also refreshes the soul and brings life back to our dormant hearts....
These rains are followed by days filled with radiant sunshine my friend.
Wonderful piece.

Nicely evocative. One spends time wisely looking at the skies. The mind is free to romp on one level, and better address life's concerns whilst doing so.
Thanks for sharing,
