Her Love

Contributed by NoSaint on Monday, 3rd March 2014 @ 04:26:31 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

We met on a cold winter's day
One look took my breath away
She changed how I looked at things
So much joy no matter what life brings

She placed no one before me
I had her total loyalty
We would cuddle by fires light
Long into the cold, cold night

In the morning kisses she would shower
I always felt her loves endearing power
When I looked into her big brown eyes
I knew with her there never were lies

Together we walk this path of life
She is my release from daily strife
I look forward at the end of the day
To see that tail just wagging away

For the love of my dog I will always crave
Until I am deep within my grave
And then someday we will meet again
At the rainbow bridges end

Beautiful write.
The relationships that we build with our pets is sometimes stronger than some of or most of our human relationships, in my opinion. Our pets become our family. Our children, younger siblings, our best friends... no matter how you look at it, they're family.
I really enjoyed this loving poem.
