Dreaming

Contributed by ArloDisarray on Friday, 28th February 2014 @ 10:52:02 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Each day I awaken from my dreams, wishing they'd been real.
Hoping instead I'll wake up from my life realizing it has actually just been a dream.
Sometimes it seems I'm living a nightmare from which I can never wake up.
And instead of screaming, I just hold my tongue in silence, hoping for happiness.
Each day seems less and less real. And I feel less alive.
Sometimes it feels such a struggle just to breathe.
But I must go on for you. I know you would die without me, so I must live for you.
But days become less and less a reality, and more of a chore.
Who knows if I will ever wake up? Or if I will just remain dreaming my life away, hoping to find my place in this world.

I must comment on this piece as it speaks well of many, and surely sometimes all who have struggled for others. what we do daily, sometimes becomes meaningless and drab yet one knows it is the cost, as if there is no way out.
But I also want to say, your thoughts also express something worth more within you that must come out and see the light of day. I know this sounds kind of tripe, but forget the past or the future so much... carpe diem, "we are food for worms", so pick it up, put it down all over again till the day is through you
live not to sleep and dream, become awake is what all who toil must do!
You will find no place in this world that wasn't already somewhere in your dreams...
I like your writing very much!
Thanks!
Peace!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
