When attempting to analyze the linguistics of being a modest woman you have to acknowledge that regardless of what we are expected to be, we are before anything else, human.
We slouch, we burp, we fart daily and sometimes we can’t even control it
We are as weak as we believe and as intelligent as we imagine
When deciding on whether you are overweight, try it in blue, in white, in pink and finally settle on black because it makes you look thinnest
When dabbing makeup on, dont be satisfied with one layer. We all know from Kim Kardashian that eye shadow doesn’t work without foundation and neither does mascara
So cover well and coat thick until there isn’t enough Clorox to wash it away
But remember, we are just as weak as we believe and as intelligent as we imagine
When attempting to reach goals, fall down. Sometimes the best goals were revealed when the ball was aimed from a man that collapsed to the earth because the backlash momentum was too strong.
So aim high. You’ll tumble, and if you’re anything like me or Rob Ford then you’ll be down for a while but know that you’ll rise again.
When deciding to re-write your past, do not be afraid to rip off the bandage and strip down the baggage until you stand tall and scratch less and weightless.
Don’t be shy, don’t be fragile.
We are as exactly as weak as we believe and as intelligent as we imagine
When bickering with your friend, always be humble. Say you don’t know it when you know do. Notice everything about the changes around you, say it and compliment the world as loud as you can.
Tell your grandmother that she’s beautiful, be it the last burning memory she ever recalls
When going through a divorce or death of a loved one or losing your jobs, the rules of recovery are the same.
When failing at a college test, or mumbling at your presentation or failing at a diet, the rules of recovery are exactly the same
When feeling broken and delicate and you’re at the cliff ready to make a regrettable decision
I ask you to dangle on to dear life, because you are important. Yes you.
You are one in 4 hundred trillion.
One in 4 hundred trillion.
Acknowledge that regardless of what we are expected to be, we are before anything else, human.
Before lawyers and plumbers and makeup artists and waitresses… Before computer engineers and writers and politicians and teachers and plumbers… Before policemen and security guards… Before sales people and managers and cashiers and nurses and machine operators and chemists and chefs and mothers and fathers and electricians and students and professors and doctors and accountants and agents and aunts and cousins
Acknowledge that before anything else, what you are is just human. Judge not another sould.
Mistakes were embedded in our bloodstream and coded in our genetic DNA far before mankind was even born so tell me why are we crying over milk that’s already been spilt? Tell me why are we miserable about not affording a new house or new shoes when we afford sunshine that promises to come out tomorrow? Tell me why do we believe it’s essential that we get it and all of it not be content with just some. Why be selfish when you can be selfless and acknowledge as human we are blessed. I assure you that if you go home tonight and reassess your position …
If you went home tonight and you calculated the math, If you go home and hug your child and call your parents and count your friends. If you go home and feel your warm bed and sip well that hot chocolate. If you go home and turn to CP 24 and glue your eyes to your laptop, you will see you’ve been more blessed than any other species in this world. You are so specific, the possibility of another you encoded with the same genetic structure is one in 4 hundred trillion. Think about that. Submerge yourself in that idea, the possibility of another Sarah with exact biological and chemical and physiological or anythingogical is one in 4 hundred trillion.
When trying to understand where we are in life and where we are going, picturing who we are going to become, know that you my friend before anything else, are human.
I once heard laughter is the best medicine
When you laugh,
Your diaphragm and chest muscles tighten, oxygen is forced out of your lungs. Blood pressure elevates and a few thoughtless calories are burned
When I laugh
My diaphragm and chest muscles tighten, oxygen is forced our of my lungs, my blood pressure elevates and a few thoughtless calories are burned
You see? A lot more in this world unites us and yet we strive to reveal the small pointless differences.
The media has programmed it into our head, it’s in the nicotine we smoke and in the additives we eat. It’s in the pills we swallow and it’s sung in the chorus of the music we listen. It’s even found its way in our concealed hearts.
That’s okay because we are human. If you take anything from this poem let it be this, take a moment to close your eyes. What do you all see? That’s one privilege you all have over others. Now this time use to see your blessings and be completely content, be thankful with all of what you have. Say Alhamdulilah, I am human.

While I don't really consider this poetry (no offense intended), I found this quite nice to read. Very interesting and inspiring.
Thank you,
