Forest's Arms

Contributed by NoSaint on Sunday, 16th February 2014 @ 02:56:31 PM in AEST
Topic: StoryPoetry

Deep within a the forest’s arms
The sparkle of life begins
Brought forth in beauty
Empty of grievous sins

A child so innocent
Her Mother called a witch
Taken by force by a Priest
His fury rang at high pitch

She escaped to the forest
Free from condemnation
Living with the animals
They formed a loving nation

The Fairies watched the scene
A blessing now being born
And protect the child
They are all now sworn

For word got to the Priest
A child he had sired
And he swore the mother and child
Would be thrown into a fire

With an army he comes torches lit
To stop what he had wrought
But when they come upon the site
No battle is to be fought

A light shines bright in forest dark
Emanating from the baby small
And love is felt deep to their souls
By good hearts one and all

The Mother forgives the Priest
His sins no longer matter
As he rages from within
He blows up with a splatter

The Fairies clean the forest
Of this awful stinking mess
As their queen looks on
And the army she does bless
