I am a fighter because I used to brawl,
I did not need gloves at all,
People looked up to me as I rose from streets,
So I took my throne as one of the elites,
And before I knew it, I started to change,
Cars and money made me deranged,
So I neglected my training to party all night,
I even did drugs before my title fight,
One right cross and the fight was done,
I knew that I would have never won,
I turned to drugs to cover up the pain,
The pain of asking why my life was all in vain.

Ouch…A needless downhill spiral here..easy to be on the outside looking in! Why can we never see our own destiny when it is so clear to others!
A nice compact reminder that we need to pay attention to the signposts! Thank you!
