Dating game

Dating is a torturous thing, it drives you so insane
You go to meet a stranger and all you get is pain
I really think its a dangerous task, deciding on a date
You never know who you might meet, a mess it can create.
Theres such a lot of lunatics, in the dating realm
the ones who promise you the earth and never take the helm
Im over "Mr -Know- it -All" , and "Mr- Im- so- cool"
Im over " Mr- Mummas- Boy" and "Mr -Idiot- Tool"
Im over " Mr- Im- so -rich" and "Mr -your- beneath -me"
Im over "Mr- beautiful " and "Mr- Im- so- mean""
Is it so hard to find someone, who is really down to earth
Who doesnt care for money or if you own some turf
I guess Im asking way too much, Of men who live right here
I think Ill give it all a miss, and be "Ms I dont care"

I really like that last line a lot and smiled. I know I shouldn't during your time of pain but I like the turn of attitude there...the strength.

I had bad luck with internet dating things too. I even did Great Expectations for a while when I used to have money many a year ago. They all sucked for me too but I think it would be the same for everyone, good luck and bad luck even without all that internet and dating businesses . I think the internet stuff just opens the member (user?) up to a larger volume of people, good and bad. I know some people that actually have the "dream" story to tell and have even ended up married.

Hang in there. (Least that's what they say...huh?) :) It can only get better, right?

At least it inspired a good poem! Remember that...life makes poetry. Success!

Awww, this made me smile and feel sad all at the same time.
You deserve Mr Perfect (if he exists) because I know how you make others feel.
You've always make me smile and I'm privileged to call you a friend.

Steve
