Sail away

Topic:
anguished
|
distant lies
lies there distant cries
weeping soul
all stifled in a pigeon hole
the angst of trials and tried
and of heart that baked and cried
nothing has changed
I still remain unchanged
bitterness have dried
withered time leaves the scar
but they no longer itch
and stay from me so far
I still stay crippled
fresh supports make the journey swift
but what's lost shall always remain adrift
floating in memory of the past
I need to remember
to not take my ship there
and always keep my eye on my mast.

"But what is lost shall always remain adrift"
is my favorite line..
your warning is well taken, not to take your ship there and always keep your eye on the mast..
We don't always learn our lessons the first time do we!
Please be so kind as to read others poetry and comment to bring encouragement to new writers..no one is paid to do this…everyone does it in friendship.Thank you.
