A young boy took prescription pills to keep his thoughts at bay
But when his thoughts outran his doctor's plan, they only wondered who to blame
Anxious allegations aviated through the air
As the young boy packed possessions, took a night train out of there
He stumbled on a cottage, which he chose to call his own
It was nearing half past midnight, and nobody seemed at home
Suicidal winds all gnashed and thrashed about,
As schizophrenic thunderstorms all laughed and cried aloud
Against the young boy's cottage, in attempts to knock it down
The night was cold and pitiless, and the whole world seemed at war
And the young boy cried in fear of that the worst was yet in store
As the young boy felt the fear begin to rise within himself,
A tiny dove flew through the keyhole, up the stairs, into the shelves
The young boy tailed the tiny bird, his eyes followed the frantic dove
And they kept each other company, 'til the morning came and the storm was gone
Now time and time again they say an old man walks about
Through the park, along the waterside, and coos a lovely sound
He coos until a tiny bird emerges from the trees
And sweetly flies around his friend, in envy of the bess
And all the world seems beautiful for that one moment in time
In reflection of the violent past the bonded both their lives.

A lovely story, tightly woven, leading us with clarity to a magical ending.
I ask and I hope you will consider sharing your writing expertise by reviewing and commenting on others work so that some may grow to be as skilled at weaving a story as you.
