For Valentines Day

Not all poems rhyme...

I use to tell her goodnight, every night
And wake to a good morning everyday, and give one of my own
It was something I looked forward to when I awoke
A good morning is more than just a good morning
It's an "I'm here, and I care"
But what is that really worth
To me it was everything, maybe that's strange
But what of you, does it ever cross your mind
It doesn't matter I guess, would either answer make me happy
Maybe in time

Not all poems rhyme, but it's more about the meaning behind the words isn't it?

It's not fair
There are those who are not happy being with one person
They lust for who's next, for frivolous desires
And they always get what they want
And then there are those who want only one
Who cannont even look at another
And that one is gone, or just out of reach
No, it's not fair
But here we are, still willing to care, but should never share
Hold it in, it's not your place
Do you ever tell yourself that?
Do you ever wonder what if, the thoughts race to much

Not all poems rhyme, but it means more than that doesn't it?

Saying "I love you" was the most difficult thing I've ever done
Speaking from the heart, Why did I do that?
Because it told me to I guess
I never did before
You were the only one to hear those words
But does it matter?.. I still don't know
You're there and I'm here
Sure, I'm hurt, Broken I'd say, in more ways than one
But It's never been about what I want
What I want just doesn't matter..
Do you remember? I told you that at the beginning
I suppose you don't, but that's ok
Doesn't change how I feel
You know those days you think I might not be thinking about you?
Well here I am, loving you still...

not all poems rhyme, and they dont have to, no.
this is a beautiful poem, really touched me... I've wondered alot too, why the people who are never content with just one, always seem to get what (who) they want. guess they are given alot of chances to experience love? who knows... some people only need one chance, and they are the ones worth waiting for... sorry for rambling on (not like me at all) :-) like your poem alot!
