Stupid Love Poem

Contributed by hibissa on Tuesday, 28th January 2014 @ 10:04:35 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

There is a beauty about the pause; the ache of craving can become quite thrilling. Music was constantly underlining this city

and I, I was ready to dance all night with him. He’d give me a flower and pause. A smile, then pause. A glance, then pause.

It was exhilarating and ecstatic at the same time how this ageless soul made me delirious. Never handing me too much,

he’d circle and finger around everything that stimulated me, then disappear. Inspired visions of him rubbing on me made

my heart beat slower and my nerves less responsive, and then again so did his stubbornness. I wasn’t taken away by how

many times he did nice things for me but by the purity of the intent when he did them for others. I’ve always admired

selflessness in boys but in the man he tries to mold himself into, it’s most charming. I’m afraid he knows it and that marks

dangerous territory. He was dangerous territory, so why the ***** was I compelled to lick what clearly is forbidden and

perhaps even broken? Truth is I wanted him. I wanted him whole and I wanted him in dangerous doses I couldn't handle.

Last night he bit my knuckle and I wasn't sure if I was more astounded at the sting of pain or overwhelmed at the fact that

I finally had a piece of him to last me for a few more nights.

Time was passing like a hand waving from a train I wanted to be on. I hope you never have to think about anything as

much as I think about you.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
