Your stare is as cold as the touch of a ghost,
But this fatal attraction leaves me yearning for more.
I blink once or twice, but you not at all,
And it leaves me to wonder does this act ever fall?
Your eyes show no emotion like they are made of pure glass,
Except for that treacherous tear that dared to seep out.
Your eyes are so blank I can see my reflection,
You are infinitely cold and make no exceptions,
Alas I now know you act this way for your own emotional protection.

the next time I see emotionless eyes, I will wonder if they are self-protecting. It's something worth considering, isn't it!
thank you for sharing this perspective.

Very deep and profound, I interpret glass eyes as meaning someone who is asleep, only a shell , a shell oblivious of the soul and its compassion within, like I say a very deep poem, and very insightful. |
