This Girl is Immortal?

She inhales the poison and exhales her soul,
And with each breath the darkness grows.
She traded her life for immortality,
But the price she pays subconsciously leaves her dying.
She yearns for emotion and the warmth of a touch,
But her deal with the devil left her emotionally crushed.
Darkness looms, oh darkness looms.
As her thoughts drift away like smoke in the wind,
Her conscience too, dies as it was guilty as sin.
It's a god damn shame that she ended up this way,
But who are you to judge the girl with no name?

A good theme! What would we trade to be immortal you ask…Not as much as SHE did!
good write! Thank you for posing the questions…it makes me happy with the options I already take for granted!
