Words no one will read (the sixth dream)

Contributed by iodinelove on Saturday, 18th January 2014 @ 10:48:51 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

The sixth dream

I have walked many paths
I have stumbled
Struggled

I have been cleansed
By of a torrent of rain
Washing away streetlights and cars

I have seen friends pass
Broken by needles
Loveless and alone

I have held a man as he cried
For the hurt he committed
And I have been held

How rigid and hard
These lines have grown
How sloppy and bland

I have hurt someone I love
Just to hurt them

I have plead for humanity
And I have spit on the supplication
Of another's love

I have called her whore
Dredged up every dirty secret
I have cast my own love away

The sixth dream is written
With words no one will read

If we had to check off each revelation you make, most of us would probably have quite a row of checkmarks! I went back for a re-read to immerse in the emotion and not just the thought.
Enjoyed this very much.
