Emotions

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Emotions over taken me
I really don't know why
I sit here on my bed tonight
And feel i want to cry.

emotions are such funny things
They change with every breeze
From being glad and happy
To melting you like cheese.

Perhaps we need to harden up
And build a concrete wall
To stop these rampant feelings
From causing us to fall.

It's my imagination
That runs away with me
It's why I sit here on my bed
Writing poetry.

I should embrace a hobby
Instead of writing rhymes
About emotions rampant
It wastes a lot of time

So maybe I will do that
And leave my pen to rest
Emotions would not bother me
As I go about that quest.

Aw, the magic release of poetry. Your words echo my internal struggles with emotions - but they are better let out than dealt with within. Don't stop the flow of words - the world outside and inside is better for it. Nice write. Thank you for sharing, P

Take up a hobby instead of writing poetry?........noooo, don't do that!!. I enjoy reading your musings and following the thoughts that run through your mind.
By all means find a hobby, but not to replace what you do here :-)

Nothing beats the release of emotional torture like writing poetry...keep that as your hobby....please.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
