Wrath is not a wraith but if ignored it will haunt
But if unleashed becomes demonic dire its taunt
Passion through compassion’s control grows gaunt
Then lean but not mean it does what the meek shan’t
Emotion is neutral: so mind what it can or can’t

There's a few if, ands and but's here, reminds me of law school or the opposite of an old yarn that tells a story that makes sense.
I glean out of this common sense, in regards to moral courage, which isn't easy sometimes.
Great writing. Emotion can do a lot, and it can't do a lot. People can play on someone's emotion,
and that can be a terrible thing one sees, by reading the news, or even just by knowing a bit about what we ourselves are capable of doing without thinking...
Lot to think about here in this short piece.
Peace! |
