~Sparkler~

Contributed by shelby on Wednesday, 1st January 2014 @ 02:46:38 AM in AEST
Topic: oops

The New Year rang in,
watched on tv,
danced around the house
just Gary and I
and our little fur family.
I lost myself
went crazy at times
danced each emotion out
a bit tired and sore now(smiles)

Kelley and I went out'
into the dark foggy night
the sound of the city
booming and banging a delight
we lit sparklers for Avalanche
for he has always loved them so
and told he how much he is missed and loved.
Along with the loved ones and friend alike
who departed from us
far from our sight.

A New Year to go on
without those we held dear
but knowing we have more angels
who are forever near
and they watch over us
and protect us from harm
again we shall meet
on a brilliant distant shore.

Happy New Years to Heaven
a hug and a kiss
wipe away a few tears
cry through some smiles
Love going up
Peace and hugs coming back down.

In Memory of Avalanche,Sweety,Shalee Hamlin, Aunt Ethel, big brother Kelly, Friends Todd and Michelle,Lela,
we miss you, love you.Gone but never forgotten, memories live on, Hugs going up, peace out!

Much love

Happy and sad tears mixed together.Kisses on the wind!

Truly touching and lifelike! I too lost someone bear and dear to me, and it was right around Christmas. I compare what I felt this New Year's Eve to your emotions written here. May you post many more lovely poems,
Deidra
