In autumn sunlight
Children return to school
faces gleam
With a tear or a smile.
Along the Royal Mile
The last revelers are leaving,
Festival season over.
The resident drunks return
Home to the Grassmarket.
Och aye.
2010 ish

I do dig this, it's a lovely window to Scottish life for an American like myself. |
