I need to get away.
Wild horses in my head.
I don't mind if the path I take leads astray.
I yearn for the sense of aliveness rather than being dead.
Bye.
My guitar and I, together we tread aimlessly.
Traveling across america like some type of gypsy.
Excited for the experiences I've yet to see.
No more old me, only visions of clarity.
So many lovely places here upon this earth.
Sings to my soul with large volumes of mirth.
Oh, how I've dreamed of being free since my birth.

I like your poem. It makes me want to stop living in a state of perpetual waiting and just start my life. I too feel the yearn for the sense of aliveness. I really like your last line. Nicely done, something rather alluring about it. |
