Happy Christmas Mr Cameron

Happy Christmas Mr Cameron.

Happy Christmas Mr Cameron
Ye merry gentlemen, good rest.
Your good message of austerity
Sees no feathers from your nest!

Glad tidings of great joy you say,
Whilst storing earthly treasure.
Keeping watch night by night
And throttling our good pleasure.

Gifts of gold and frankincense
Are bought before a king.
The gold instead, lines your bed
As all your members sing.

No well! no well! the nation cries!
The economy is groaning.
Under starry skies a new pay rise!!
And deaf ears to our moaning!

See him a lying, no grain of truth
Our voice a silent night.
Unto us mince pies to swallow the lies,
No saviour for our plight!

A feast for Steven, side plate for Clegg
We look out from drafty stable.
Our hungry tums looking for crumbs,
From beneath your laden table.

Seasons greetings from your friends the Whigs
As you sit in David’s city,
We’ll dine with the swine and a bottle of wine
Cuz you’re making our lives so …….(Pretty?)

Cause you've made our lives a pity?

don't know who you wrote this too, but he sure is a scrooge!
Thanks for altering my perspective on the Christmas festivities..not everyone is festive, and I can do something to help that in some tiny way.
There is no shortage of opportunities to help others out there. Find someone you can help too and maybe we'll start a ripple in the pond!
Merry Christmas! softerware

Cameron and Obama should get together and have a cuppa. None of them have to live like the peasants yet they can speak like they can relate. I don't know about the UK, but our senators & presidents get a lifetime retirement of six figures, so how could they ever relate to trying to make ends meet. Good job, bad job, they're set for life.

Okay, I'll shut up now.

This is a great poem, Anna. You should send it to him. wink photo cid_20464F9289AB441CB8AAF7967356146.gif

Anna,
Love it! Anger, truth, and stick your austerity where it will never see the light of day again!

Wish I'd written this!

Happy New Year and don't let the B------- grind you down.
