At the break of dawn,
in that everlasting orange twilight
when the stars are blown out by the sun
like candles exposed to a sudden gust of wind,
I set my gaze upon the horizon.
I breath in the fresh morning air
and count the infinite diamonds;
shiny droplets on the grass.
The air is vibrant,
insects are buzzing about.
The Earth is awakened
by that bright star in the sky.
Such warmth fills my core.
Oh heaven's delight!
Even the most wretched of men,
has a change of heart
at the sight of so much beauty and grace.
If heaven was a place,
it would be right here at my feet.
But, Alas! I need to keep going!
Over those hills is my home.
A fine maiden awaits me,
I will run as fast as my feet can take me.
Heaven is not a place indeed,
heaven is the one I will shortly meet.

I can almost smell the wet grass when I read this…
my favorite line is "when the stars are blown out by the sun like candles exposed to a sudden gust of wind"..
Nice writing! thank you for sharing this!
