Seaman's tavern

Tired of your life mundane as a bee?,
want badly a whiff of the spicy sea?,
just get out of your stinking,monotonous cavern,
and walk into a flashy rough seaman's tavern.

If you happen to look innocent and curly,
be prepared to get bullied by the hunk and burly.
just be brave and not a nervous bloke,
or you will get branded into a silly joke,
by men who breathe rum and drink tobacco smoke.
Ah ! now don't get pale and white with fright,
you may have to show a bout of might,
be ready anytime for a drunken fight.
Also make sure to leave out womanly tears,
for this world is packed with curses and ugly swears.
Just keep on gobbling gin and tonic black as sin,
you will soon find yourself enjoying the roaring din.
Hearing those incredible adventures and spicy tales,
of sexy mermaids,white whales and grotesque gales,
you will loathe your life so bland and knave,
and enter a world bold,colourful and brave.

A nasty pinch wakes you up in a jerk,
buck up mate ! It is time to get to work.
