The night is filled with settling sounds
The birds outside their homes have found
Im sitting here, their songs enjoy
Relaxing quietly is my ploy
As night time falls a little lower
And people become a little slower
A calm descends upon the street
My home becomes my own retreat
To unwind away the stress and strain
Of working mode inside my brain
A sigh, a smile and the day does sleep
The birds go quiet without one peep
Go gently in the coming dark
until we are woken by the larks.

Very good write I love poetry that rhymes and makes sense that flows well with logic in it's structure and not all mixed up. This one tells of a calm place HOME not just in the physical but in our mind where one can reflect and relax. This is something we all need to do on a daily bases. Beautiful message and reminder to us all TFS
Greetings

This is nice. This made me feel calm and soothed. I could picture the scenery that you spun in your words. Wonderful. Thanks for making me feel so good! :) |

That was such a nice sweet poem, but I found it a little funny at the end, you see "laks" (not larks, but laks.) In my native language is salmon. ^-^ makes the end a bit weird. |
