What has brought me to these ways?

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

What has brought me to these ways?
I used to be full of youth and praise.
Such a happy soul I was, bathing in the warmth of the sun rays.
Now it seems as if I've grown old, fragile to the bone, and have not seen the light for days.
The only things that tend to brighten my soul:
Is being alone consumed in my thoughts, reading, writing, and creating music.
But all that you see, takes its toll, for now my social life has become dull.
There's no one to blame for I've chosen this life of shame.
Of course I miss the spark I once had that ignited the flame,
Of bliss which now I absolutely forbid to reclaim.
So this is it my fellow companions.
Maybe sometime In the near future I'll socialize with you along with the other billions.
But until then I'll be hanging with the surrounding stars and the infinite up above beyond the zillions.

I sometimes cherish my solitude. I know for myself, I prefer to be alone because I've been burnt by people so many freaking times over the years.

Not sure if I get the last two lines but it seems to be talking about check out time :) (death).

Nicely written.

Thanks,

Tim

Yeah, I feel this way many times. Like I am alone and happy that way. But nobody likes being alone forever. My friends and family remind me that. My heart reminds me that. This poem is great. Best wishes.
