Bleak world comes alight

Contributed by gypsymaddness on Tuesday, 10th December 2013 @ 08:14:14 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

Hold me back
Before I crack
The night she comes
Matter of fact
With no charity
Nor passivity.
Hold me close
Before I'm broke
The sun she comes
Lighting away the dark
But not lighting away my heart.
Close my eyes
To not see the lies
The shadows creeping
Always wanting
But never keeping.
Take a breath
Calm the mess
That is inside
This head of mine.
Keep a hold
Dont let me go
fear it does
Take ahold
Tearing into my mind
Tearing into my soul.
Keep my hope
While I choke
Deceptive jokes
And shameful ropes.
Fight the night
Follow the light
Rays showing the way
To another way.
Open my eyes See the world
No more lies
Just blinding hope .  .  .

Wow..this runs through a lot of emotions! But that is how the mind operates, and how do we know that? You just described it!

If you can make such poetic sense out of chaos, you can do anything!

Nice composition! thanks for sharing it.
