Nostalgia, beyond bittersweet.

Topic: anguished

Nostalgia, beyond bittersweet...
The supernova of our love when we first meet.
Now gone forever, memories I try to deplete.
I can't forget it, though I've tried.
I'm starting to think that It would be better if I had died.
All day I spend alone making art/music confined.
Doing what I can to ease my troubled mind.
Excuse me my love, as I drift off into the sea lying on my back.
Gazing upon the sky, so magnificent, all the things I seem to now lack.
I'm leaving now and don't intend to ever come back.
Hopefully the new reality I seek will be as big as the feeling of love.
Because I could not repeat the mortal depressing being from above.
So, farewell my bittersweet, love.

While you're on that sea, remember there's a plenty of other fish in it. :)

Nicely done. My favorite lines, however, are these:

Excuse me my love, as I drift off into the sea lying on my back.
Gazing upon the sky, so magnificent, all the things I seem to now lack.

Nice imagery there.

Memories can be depleted by replacing them with new ones…hard to do sometimes. We do need to mourn our losses.
The heart's door never really closes! Not even if we slam it!
I like where you say "the new reality I seek"..a very hopeful sign!
Keep writing and reading!
