From Fazak to Eggie
Autumnal leaves all wet and squishy
Frost on grass glistening in morning light
Journey from Fazakerley in the north
Finishing in the south of Aigburth
On the bus I ride, laden with my load
Destination home
Christmas is coming and so is the bitter cold
Icy breath, cold hands warm coats
Sunlight glares through window, bright
Bus twists and turns through roads
Stopping intermittently, people get on and off
We are all going the same way
Time ticks slowly away
On this frequently made journey I am productive
When there is not much to do but sit and stare
That is when I write poetic verse
From Aigburth to Fazakerley and back again
It is the time my mind can shine

'It is the time my mind can shine' and it shone in this poem brightly.
