Candlelight

Topic: dedicatedpoems

There's a candle
In the dark;
Like a beacon
In our hearts.

We try to keep
That candle lit,
But it seems like
An impossible bit.

There's a light
That's fading fast.
No matter what
It will not last.

There are people
With a lot to gain.
These same people
Are filled with pain.

We have lost
One who was near;
A friend & family
We held so dear.

One day, the dark
Will light again;
One day, our hearts
Will sing again.

We won't forget
The unfair end
To which we lost
A special friend.

Very poignant indeed
25 is a short live, seems so hardly lived.
It reminds me of my cousin who died at just 19.
She suffered a lot in her short life but she always had a smile on her face.
Thanks for igniting the memory again.

Steve

An excellent tribute to someone who was taken from this world too soon.

Sorry to hear about your loss.
