Oh my Lorraine!
you are the grain
'gainst which I grind
I am to blame
under the strain
we can't unwind
,
I try and try
you force goodbye
my words seem crass
You think me sly
and I can't cry
this is morass
If I just knew
that me and you
could find a way
I'd walk to Crewe
no socks nor shoe
to make you stay
so take a bow
your time is now
I love you lass!
yet, through this row
my path you plow
with nails and glass

you would’ve won her back Dude, but the last line seals your fate!
"my path you plow
with nails and glass"
And the fight stays active!
