war
|
fallen, in a foreign land
so alone, as white hot pieces of something removed my ability to live
beyond a gurgle and an anguished, fearful tear;
and the eyes I looked into feared what I was becoming
as hands and heads did what was necessary,
but futile.
You judge me as an oppressor of a kind of freedom
that I don't understand
yet, I lost my freedom in that moment
and you choose to punish me further.
I am a soldier
nothing more
nothing less.

Perspective can be a very complex issue.
From my perspective, I felt fear, anguish, pain, and judgement.
Very nicely done.
Thank you for posting,
