Northern skies

Lights in the distance,
guide me through darkness.
Flickering in front of me,
always intangible,
elusive as a rainbow.
They depict fighting lions
and hissing snakes,
lost gods and forgotten kings.
One day I too
will fare among thee O northern stars
and follow the trails
of great old Jupiter and Mars.
But Alas, I fear this is the end
of this heavenly confrontation,
Apollo is fast approaching.

One day I too will fare among thee o northern stars....... words to bring you home, to the place you are destined for, your final journey home and you have painted a beautiful journey with a hint of a sting in its tale! Your words flicker as the lights taking the reader into a surreal world.A wonderful mystical feel to this well written. |
