Two Souls

Topic: LovePoetry

It all happened too fast for them to realise, they were out of control,
A victim of the Gods or a cruel puppet show?
When together, time slowed and reality sinks in,
The fairy tale was ending, and it was time to go.

But they did not squabble, cry or shriek,
They looked at each other, her eyes told more than words could.
Looking out across the bay at the sand and the sea,
The perpetual motion of the lunar water system - a relationship.

A bond between two things, heavenly but dangerous,
Catching each moment as it comes, etched feelings of hope.
But emotions tore at their souls, they could not manage,
An empty figure stands in the doorway.

Failure to react and hold tight of what mattered most,
Fear, a deep ravine of feelings driven between them.
Thoughts swirled a bitter storm of the mind, a frightening scene.
Their world was crashing down around them.

They tried to grab it, a moment,
When things felt right.
A time where they each felt the same,
And dark clouds weren't obscuring the horizon.

It all happened too fast for them to realise, a brief moment in time.
Their future hangs in the balance.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
