I march on toward my fate
Whatever may wait
I will never know
I march forward while looking back
I never know where to go
If only I'd watch where I'm going
Like water wilting a stone
I march on I feel so alone
A machine automaton my gears full of rust
Marching until ashes to ashes dust to dust
I feel cold like a machine shell
Why is this me
Why am I in this hell
I march on to whatever may wait
Turning to see a new dawn
And there I will face my judgement

I think that's the key, keep writing and inspiration will come.
There are lots of unfinished poems in scrapbooks dotted about my house. I write a line, I leave it, I come back to it, I write another line........eventually I get a finished piece.
