Pieces

Topic: Lifepoems

coming closer to what i ran away from
a dirty dozen hours of blissful waste
it doesn't look like much on this one
but tell me have you ever had a taste
i've come to face this recent problem
now full circle keeps running through
don't want this fear this place again
well the page crumbles under the news

come over for a little bit
forget all where you've been
stay and peel the counterfit
scratch away that dirty skin

cry
a thousand of tears
spend them on something
they'll be better spent
lie
each year after here
pull things from nothing
just as you came and went

well see where we go as the world spins around us
it all regains the picture of self-centeredness
well see what we know as the walls close around us
it shatters the views of the quaint life confessed

come over for a little bit
forget all where you've been
stay and peel the counterfit
scratch away that dirty skin

buy
machines of the day
move all that's waiting
for no good it sent
why
convene down this way
less fed participating
for all it circumvents

well see where we go as the world spins around us
it all remains in pieces from self-centeredness
well see what we know as the walls close around us
it shatters the news even priest-hole confessed

i can keep on getting away
with all of the easy right at my fingertips
i can take the hideaway
entertained at the most on my face-shots
i can have the disarray
strangely enough it is cracking on my lips
i can know thisaway
but what does it get me? oh...

all the years
still painted in the puzzles
mostly
they've faded in the background.
all the fears
still waiting by the tables
mostly
they're coming right back around.

come over for a little bit
forget all where you've been
stay and peel the counterfit
scratch away that dirty skin...

I think this is one of your best.... lots of really good lines in here. :) My favorite is the verse that starts "All the years still painted in the puzzles..." Now that's an image! Awesome!
