There is an emptieness in your eyes.
One I have not seen before.
Tell me what I did
Before you walk out that door.
Was it something that I said?
Or maybe something I overlooked?
I've done all you asked of me,
I've been a worm on your fish hook.
The sky is getting brighter,
But your love has grown so dark.
Your touch used to be like velvet,
Now it cuts like the teeth of a shark.
Tell me what I did,
Thats all I ask of you.
Then you can run away,
Just like you always do.
