An End to the End

Contributed by tin on Tuesday, 13th August 2013 @ 09:08:05 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Not two days ago,
When I walked through the door,
You were talking with him,
Then and your jaw hit the floor.

You never expected,
Me to wake before noon,
You never expected me,
To learn your secrets so soon.

That night you left,
You didn't leave a thing,
That night with difficulty,
I took off my ring.

But now I see I'm better off,
Now I see the trap we were in,
Now neither of us can pretend,
Now our separate lives can begin.

Sometimes it's better to move on. To quote a musician "through all the rain and the pain you've gotta keep a sense of humour". I hope you keep writing too. TYFS

Life deals us many lessons, some good and some bad.
A little bit of pain can only make us stronger.
I hope your life moves onwards and upwards.

No matter how right a break up is...it always has a tinge of failure in it. The bitter loss to the sweet freedom. Thank goodness we can re-invent ourselves, or we would all be lost!
Nice write, really says it. Took me back.
Thanks for helping us all remember what it was like.

Keep writing man, the words won't magically fix anything or make the pain go away but expressing your feelings really helps.
