there's a connecting pattern here I like a lot.
day, sun, a ray, then the setting sun, departing,
its rays twinkling off the water or perhaps, it's edges seen glimmering through the trees as it is almost out of sight. Like the end of a play, when the curtain comes down and gone is this imaginary reality that had your complete attention.
A last bit of love. Very well written!
