The music slow and romantic,
Wine, red and tasting good,
But even as Ferry smoothes,
I知 left dancing all alone.
Long way home,
The rain patters the street,
Too late to take shelter,
I知 left walking all alone.
Lovers smooch in doorway,
They laugh but I ignore them,
The fumbled key lets me in,
I知 left at home all alone.
Coffee for one if you please,
I値l serve myself of course,
Pictures on the wall look in,
I知 left to cry all alone.
Years have slipped by,
I demand a recount now,
Not the age that kills, only,
I知 left to die all alone.
