Church bells ring in a small town
While the hurt rings in many hearts
When Daddy left from the beginning
Momma was falling apart
The kids in high school kept on laughing
At the girl with hair and clothes that smelled
With every tear she prayed to Jesus
For the father she never held
And with a rope synched tight
She made her flight
I’m laying flowers on Tessa’s Grave
Tessa’s Grave
The life of 15 years and all I could save was your memory
All I could save are memories
As her hands turned cold
The world just sneered
A mother's heart was broken
The vacant crowd couldn't hear her crying on
And as the years go by I’m looking back
When we were still just kids eating chocolate ice cream
Riding our bikes through that quiet town
And for a second life’s the way it was meant to be
Until I'm laying flowers on Tessa’s Grave
Tessa’s grave
The life of 15 years and all I could save was your memory
Till the day I die I'll keep your memory
