Reservation for Two

Topic: oops

Coming to my senses
All hope has been lost
Giving it a second thought
I can no longer see the point
Chasing my own tail
Through circles of jokes
Face mired in dirt
Balancing on a tight rope
I wont look down
If you agree to cut the cord

I made many promises
None of them fulfilled
Changing for the sake of change
Now trying to reinvent myself
A move towards enlightenment
I aim my sights high
Pontificate on musings
I can see no light
I know not why
Darkness engulfs
Disease consumes
Nothing bubbles to the surface
Motionless,
Left with no room
A struggle, from side to side
Her child exists the womb
Mercifully, a cry is let out in stride
Life can now resume
After the shock and pain subside
Comes the birth of a new moon
Although,
Let us never assume
Make absolutely certain
For there is an infallible force
Lurking behind the velvet curtain
There is no escaping the truth
I am who I am,
and thats a damn shame
It has nothing to do with you
I am my own burden

Take for instance
A chance coincidence
With the girl I am destined to love
She won't look this way
As she eventually fades
into the summer day
The sun heats her head from above
Her voice carries with the wind
I can still hear her sing
Songs of beauty, sex and love
With humming in between
Her teeth white as cream
A voice serene
Reminds me of places I have never seen
She smiles full with happiness
Her body fit with perfect curves
Lips whisper angelic overtures
Excited,
If only I were hers
Contrived
A bit rehearsed
Inside
A table waits
Reserved

I love a complicated write that isn't especially difficult to decipher. I really enjoyed this a lot. Tyfs.

Excellence. Great expression. I keep coming back to that part. I have read this before, as I tend to do with your writes. Thank you for continuously inspiring me. Your writing fuels my creativity.

...And that ending. Way to drive it in.
