'The big bailout'

Contributed by Boomvader on Saturday, 27th July 2013 @ 05:41:45 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

We know the days of 'the big bailout',
as the day they took our money.
But hey honey, are they ever greatfull
to us?
Hell no, they keep indebting us even more,
making sure we are all moneyslaves.

Yeah after 'the big bailout',
there is gonna be a lot of fall out.
Rotten banks, getting bigger,
and no government to stop them...
Rotten business getting more powerfull,
and again no government to stop them.

But i guess thats what people voted for,
or am i sadly mistaken?
Maybe you we're just to taken,
with political ideology to get it?
From the left or from the right,
it all seems black as the night....

Is this the world we want,
untill everything is gone?
Is this what we dreamt of,
or are we to blind to see what reality looks like?

The empoverished people,
turned into sheople.
Getting their deaducation,
leaving nothing left....

so true, regrettably true. We/ everyone in this vain confuses ideals with ideology, competition with dignity and collaboration. The goal, which should be prosperity for all, gets scuttled for Empire, or some sort of Trans-national corporatism. The tragedy's start with an uninformed citizenry, or is that the plan behind all this loosely, vaguely written,
legislation? Humbly, I solute your poem. Ideally I question
what most find to be important over-riding the real structural deficits we have here and in other nations, good banking laws for starters.
Good work!
Peace!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
