Sands on the Sunrise

Contributed by ScribereHabeo on Saturday, 20th July 2013 @ 06:49:15 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I sit outside the water looking at the waves
Tides wash in and out making my footprints dissapear
Violent storms rip apart the shore, leaving caves
I am like the tides, that much is clear

I revolt against the old and strive foward
Leaving broken ideals behind and sharing knowledge with others
Forgetting the scars of the past, giving something to move toward
Forgiving the wars leaving behind weeping mothers

I have lost myself amongst the tide
I am taken by the under toe
Filling myself with false pride
For i am lost, that I already know

Breeze comes and cools my weary mind
Letting the water take me away
Letting loose, its me the waves find
I see a light, showing me the way

I am putting myself back together
I am still missing parts
Being together forever
Will leave two broken hearts

I look at my life and the challenges I face
I look at the good times and the bad
My heart pumps, my mind starts to race
As I remember all of the greatness I had

And I stand up aching for more
Making more out of me
To be the best I can be is what im here for
I toss aside fear, and break the chains binding me
now I am free...

I look into the oceans eyes
I am a better man now
I have given the myself a surprise
I am made a new

By the sand on the sunrise....

So much strength is shown within your words. You take the reader to a place that all search for, and seldom find. I greatly enjoyed this write. Great write, P

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
